BRC Certification

Created in 1998, the BRC certification (British Retail Consortium) is a British technical reference for businesses supplying retailer brand foodstuffs.

  • The implementation of a HACCP system (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) in line with the principles defined in the Codex Alimentarius
  • The implementation of an effective and documented quality management system

BRC certification requires a yearly renewal audit by a third party accredited body (last version 2016: version 7, grade A).
